The 5th International Student Gathering organized by Bab-ı Alem International Student Association, which is a member of the UNIW, was held in Sultanahmet Square between 14 and 16 April 2012. The students from 75 countries studying in Turkey shared the traditions, customs, cultures and regional cuisines of their countries on the stands with the visitors from Turkey and abroad.

“Humanity for Syria Now” Meetings in Erzurum PDF Print E-mail

Extensive meetings will be held throughout Turkey to inform the public opinion about the extent of the tragedy of the civilians exposed to genocide by the brutal Assad regime forces in Syria, where a mass grassroots movement has been going on for over a year. The next one of these series of meetings also supported by the Union of Non-governmental Organizations of the Islamic World (UNIW) is going to be held on April 17, 2012, Tuesday in city of Erzurum at the Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Culture Center.

Formed by the Union of NGOs of the Islamic World (UNIW) in order to set up sound relationships with member organizations, other organizations and institutions, to follow up developments more closely and to maximize the cooperation, Regional Desks Unit held a conference on March 28, 2012 in Science Spread Foundation Wafa Dormitory to share information about their activities and the YouthUNIW project. Cihad Terzioglu, Director of the UNIW Regional Desks Unit, gave a speech at the conference.
